Film maker Phinehas Hodges was looking for key art to get funding for his short film A Room Without God. A midwestern gothic drama about a man’s last moments with his dying father, I had full creative freedom once I had read the script and Phinehas had explained his own backstory. Scattered with detail relating to the state of the relationship, my favourite detail is the way the protaganist’s father casts no shadow, hinting at the film’s major reveal.

Movie posters are one of my true loves. This was a rare chance to really go all out.
