I cannot lie: when I first came to NYC I was met with a feeling of starstruck wonder and profound dismay. This city where anything felt possible, ambition and urgency wound together in a cacophonous mix of humanity. Underpinned by a complete disconnect from nature, in an environment no living creature should in their right minds endure. I wanted to grab every harried and self important New Yorker and tell them “you’re one weather event away from complete obsolescence!”
